Step 1: How can I isolate whether it’s hardware issues on my machine, software issues in the game, or network issues? Or if it’s hardware related, would explain why it’s essentially only my laptop having issues. Leads me to think it could be related to my ISP, if the problem is network related. During a lan at my house, it happened also to a friend of mine (but not when he’s at his house). Happens to me routinely, when playing online with friends. “You have been disconnected from network. I have to goto wifi connections, disconnect from network, then reconnect. It’s worth noting that when this happens, TeamSpeak also loses connection. I have 16GB of ram and from this problem alone the non paged pool goes so high to 6gb of ram wasted and makes my computer slow down. So anyways the conclusion remove Razer Cortex from your computer to avoid these memories leaks and low performance. And a big pile of RAM you may not notice it but Razer Cortex creates a lot of non paged pool RAM usage its a memory leak, at first when you start your computer you wont have any issues but after a few hours of computer usage you are forced to restart because of the memory leak i used the program poolmon to investigate where was this coming from and these two tags pop out:Īfter that i used the program WPA.exe to trace where they were coming from and in fact RazerCortex.exe which occurs while creating files KernelBase.dll!CreateFileWThis also causes the IRP (which stands for I/O request packet) usage Razer Cortex eats a lot of your performance by secretly grabing a lot of your percentage of you CPU usage. You can do so by simply clicking flair under your link!Īs the tittle suggest i don't know if this is a known issue or not but Razer Cortex is a big pile of mess supposed to be a way of getting a big performance boost for your games and pc, but for me and others it is not.
